A charming French red wine variety, more popular in Uruguay than in its homeland, has found its place in the picturesque hills of S. Mogilovo. Introducing the first vintage of Tannat - a gorgeous wine with an intense aromatic profile and exceptional ageing potential.
Midalidare Barrel Fermented Tannat is a varietal, aged and partially fermented in French oak barrels from the Tronse region of France, a regional Bulgarian red wine PGI Thracian Lowland, Tannat variety from Midalidare's own vineyards.
Opaque ruby-red colour with intense purple hues. Lush bouquet with aromas of ripe black berries and cherries, black pepper and black cardamom, confiture of black plums, tobacco, liquorice, chocolate and an elegant tone of smoky oak. Midalidare Barrel Fermented Tannat is a voluminous, juicy wine with a full body, powerful tannins and tangible acids. The palate is dominated by black berries and jammy notes, spicy spices and tobacco. The finish is fruity, medium intensity, with a spicy aftertaste.
