Following the principles and practices built over the centuries in already recognized wine regions the Midalidare Sparkling project was launched: a sparkling wines produced according to the traditional method of sparkling winemaking with bottle fermentation, ageing on the lees and made with exceptional attention to detail.
Midalidare Sparkling Blue line wines are produced only in years when the predominant vintage is of exceptional quality, solely in sweetness scale Extra Brut or Pas Dose (Brut Nature) and are aged on the lees for at least 36 months. The first Blue line wine – Midalidare Sparkling Blue Extra Brut NV, is presented on the market in December 2021.

It has a shiny, golden-yellow colour. The mousse is rich, ample, and prolonged. An intensive, ripe, and precise nose of toast and green apple is followed by nicely balanced, fresh, and mineral palate
Midalidare Estate is located in the Thracian Valley - the most suitable region for grape growing in Bulgaria. The estate is huddling among the southern slopes of Sredna Gora Mountain in the village of Mogilovo (to the North-East of Chirpan).
The region has thousands of years of wine traditions; the wines produced here were taken to Piraeus and Enos by caravans as early as in the Antiquity.
At the heart of the project is Evgeniy Yussupov, a Russian businessman who lives in Kazahstan and whose love for history, nature and good wine urge him to invest in the village of Mogilovo and to turn this piece of land in a real oasis.
Those who love Tuscany will be pleasantly surprised by the pastoral spirit of this godly place being its Bulgarian equivalent - more primitive but not less charming.
The climate is moderate continental. The average hours of sunlight are more than 2800 per year and sunny days are more than 100 per year. Hot summer with warm nights is typical for the region and for the village of Mogilovo. Winters are mild, sometimes with heavy snowfalls which irrigate naturally the vineyards.
25 hectares of premium quality white varieties have been planted; they are as follows: Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscadelle, Grenache Blanc; and reds: Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot . The sole purpose for planting them is to experiment with each variety, to observe its development through the years, so that we can produce wines of exceptional quality.
They produce limited series of premium and super premium wines.
As they always try to improve the savour of theirr wine, they only put their names under really authentic wines-those which represent the character of their land , as well as the variety of its flavors and colors.
From the vineyards to the glass of wine, in harmony with thousand-year-old wine traditions of their ancestors, they try to bring the beauty of the land to the people who will taste the wines of Midalidare through the best examples of wine production.
They handpick the grape in optimal technological ripeness. They use only good, carefuly selected grape for the wines.
The fermetation takes place in inox tanks or in 400l french oak barrels.The wines mature in new freanch barrels which regularly are fill up and monitored for quality changes due to wine contact with the oak. They make experiments with diffenrent french oak barrels from different regions and different level of toasting the barrels.
They follow very closely every single bottle produced in Midalidare Estate-from grape ripening, through vinification and barrel aging, to the bottling itself. They supervise the development of every limited bottle of wine with the sole objective of performing its best qualities and flavor characteristics
The team is small devoted entirely to the idea of turning Midalidare Estate into the new wine star in Bulgaria. Winemakers are Nikolay katerov and Alexander Alexiev - both with rich international wine experience. They've been working for famous wineries in Australia, New Zealand and Argentina where comes from the love of Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc vinification.
