Melnik 55 coming form a single vineyard in Levunovo village from 16 years old vines, in the heart of the well known wine region Melnik

The grapes are carefully picked by hand on September 21, 2017. After the malolactic fermentation in inox vessels, the wine is aged in french oak barrels fr 24 months. Bottles on 04.07.2019 and already 15months aged in a bottle.

Orbelia Estate Reserva Melnik 55 has beautiful ruby red color. Complex, multilayered varietal aromas with expressive noble oak notes, soft and gentle. Spicy and leather notes on the nose. On the palate is very harmonious and concentrated, lovely acidity for great aging potential, lond and spicy finish. Wine for rich food.

Orbelia Winery

Winery Orbelia is located at the foot of the Belasitsa Mountain, next to the village of Kolarovo, 12 km. west of Petrich. Orbelia is the ancient name of the mountain range and it means beautiful White Mountain.

The winery opened in 2013 and it has the most modern technologically and laboratory equipment. Some of the wines aged in French, Bulgarian, American and Hungarian oak barrels.

Sandanski-Petrich area is the sunniest and warmest region in Bulgaria and it has booth beautiful scenery and a rich history. This region has a long-standing tradition of excellence in viticulture. Since Thracian times in these lands have began cultivating some old local varieties such as Wide Melnik, which is widespread in the region today.

Our vineyards are planted on maroon, diluvial and alluvial soils, which provide excellent conditions for their development.

The winery has own vineyard area of 100 acres in the region. With love and great care we cultivate the traditional for the area grape varieties such as: Wide Melnik grape vine, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat Ottonel and Sandanski Misket.
