"Grapes should be the fruit of nature, not synthetic chemistry". This is the conviction of Caroline Fre, who has been leading her vineyards towards biodynamics for the past decade, including organic certification in 2016. An approach that involves a deep understanding of nature and the vineyards and connects them harmoniously to the global environment. The vineyards at Hermitage and Crozes Hermitage have been fully certified as biodynamic since 2017. 100% hand harvested in small crates. The maceration period lasts several days for each variety separately. This is followed by fermentation of the blend together. The syrah is vinified separately. The wine is aged in inox tanks for 9 months and partially (for 6 months) in oak barrels.
It has a garnet-red colour with purple hues. The nose is expressive and intense with pronounced aromas of red fruits: strawberry, blackcurrant, floral notes: peony, dried rose. Taste of fruit and sweet spices. The elegant structure of the wine is revealed on the finish, accompanied by a pleasant freshness.
