Kapatovo is a blend of Syrah, Petit Verdot аnd Primitivo.

The wine has deep, intensive, dark red color.

The taste flavors follow the aromas in the nose. It's a complex of ripe red and black berry fruits, vanilla, ripe dry figs, spices and herbal notes. The oak is well integrated but not dominating. Medium to full body, very fruity and juicy with very soft warmness. All grape varieties bring in their typical character but Syrah is dominating. It brings the structure and distinguishing ripe fruit aromas of the wine. Primitivo grape brings in its juiciness and fine aromas wealth and of course Petit Verdot balances all the rest grapes and brings the freshness.

Kapatovo Gardens and Vineyards are situated in a valley on the southern slopes of Pirin mountain, away from industrial sites and pollution of modern life and just 5 km from the town of Melnik.

The farm, established in 1997, today spreads over more than 120 hectares, on the lands of the villages of Kapatovo and Zornitza. Within its range are situated orchards, vegetable plantations, vineyards, as well as farm buildings and cooling facilities.

Today Kapatovo Gardens and Vineyards is a family owned estate, where nature and its benefits, are highly valuable. What we want and aim at is to grow high-quality products that meet with our client’s expectations, and at the same time doing the best for the land and the plants.

Kapatovo Gardens and Vineyards own 14 hectares of grape vines – 9,6 hectares in fruit-bearing age, and 4,8 hectares of young grape vines. A new planting of 9,6 hactres.

The grape varieties have been selected after careful study of the soil and climate characteristics. The grape seedlings were bought by the French company Guillaume.

The vineyards are part of a family owned estate where the plants are attended on a daily basis in order to gain a crop of highest quality.

A drip irrigation system has been built and installed to cover all the 13,4 hectares, thus allowing for appropriate reactions in cases of weather anomalies and droughts

Produced in a region with traditions in vine-growing, the Kapatovo wines start a new story by introducing grape varieties not typical of the region.

Red grapes: Syrah, Petit Verdot, Marselan, Primitivo, Mourvedre, Grenache, Carignan

White grapes: Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignion Blanc

Kapatovo Ltd produces red and white wine Kapatovo – in bottles, as well as in 5-litre boxes.

The red Kapatovo is an assemblage of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Marselan, and Primitivo. In accordance with the characteristics of the crop, every year we strive to find the optimum proportion among the varieties in the assemblage, as to reflect our clients’ expectations. Prior to being bottled, the wine is matured in Barron French oak barrels.

The white Kapatovo is an assemblage of Chardonnay and Viognier.

Kapatovo wines are made and bottled in Damianitza Ltd.
